Alex and Ed tied the knot on the 31st of May 2024 in a celebration that was nothing short of spectacular at the cool urban / rustic venue of Clapton country club. With no strict theme, the couple simply aimed for a day that was "Colourful & Fabulous," and they certainly achieved it!

A Special Touch: Wedding Accessories by Francis + Louise

Ed first discovered my work at a local Makers Market in Wanstead, London, where he was drawn to the "beautiful colours and patterns." After purchasing a tie that received endless compliments, he knew Francis + Louise was the “perfect choice to create custom wedding accessories.”

Ed chose my Kingscote print in both colourways—peach for himself and blue for his groomsmen and nephew. I crafted ties, bespoke printed socks, including a bow tie and braces for their 3-year-old nephew, along with a matching set of braces and a bow tie for Ed, ensuring every detail was just right.

Ed wore the most amazing green suit, which perfectly complemented the peach Kingscote print. Alex looked like a goddess in a gold metallic dress of dreams, accessorized with a gorgeous bridal crown that was a true showstopper.

For the daytime, Ed wore the tie and pocket square, later switching to braces and a bow tie for the evening—ready to play the trumpet in style! Check out his new look below!

“There were a lot of highlights to choose just one! Depends who you ask!” With so many unforgettable moments, it's difficult for Alex and Ed to pinpoint just one highlight! Each part of their wedding day was filled with joy, laughter, and love, making it truly special. One standout moment was Ed joining @nolimitstreetband for a few tunes on the trombone under the magic of the mirror balls—a truly unforgettable experience! And their intimate ceremony, led by a close friend, making the moment even more personal and meaningful.

I bought a tie for some upcoming events (weddings, christenings), and we also picked up one of her fun headbands. The tie always received so many compliments that when we were planning our wedding, I reached out to Kerri to create a matching set of accessories for myself and the wedding party—including a bow tie and braces set for our 3-year-old nephew! Sustainability is really important to me and as always, the accessories and gifts I created for Alex & Ed's were designed to have a lifespan long beyond the wedding day as they can be worn again and again. I digitally print all my fabrics, only printing what I need, and I use every last bit of fabric so there is zero waste in my production process. I use natural and recycled fabric and print using eco inks. All the accessories were presented in recycled gift boxes and made in the UK.
